5th Annual Slam at the Ram
Five years in a row for our annual Slam at the Ram is a pretty cool accomplishment. And we don’t have plans to stop. Although we are limited to just 16 players by the space of the backroom at The Ram Brewery in downtown Indy, each year its interest just grows and grows. Within 48 hours of posting to our facebook group page, the Fashion Mall Commons store’s(Northside) sign up sheet was full! Only our Greenwood store has spots open. (as of right now)
If you’ve never heard of Slam at the Ram, this is an absolutely unique Warmachine and Hordes tournament sponsored by the Northside Game Preserve. The prize support is like nothing you have ever seen before. This tournament is all about winning the 30lb Sledge hammer. Also there are smaller 5lb sledge hammer given out for certain achievements. Be the fastest to kill a caster or warlock and you win “Quickest Caster Kill” Hammer. Win a battle with the largest victory point spread and you win a hammer.
As with the hammers, everything at “The Slam” is about size. Best painted trophy is in the form of one of the largest hobby brushes you can buy. Get voted as the “Best Sportsman” you will win a fantastic looking Stein-Like mug. C’mon, this is a tournament being held at a brewery; of course the winner should get a drinking stein!
*NOTE:* Yes. as you look at the older pics, you’ll see different trophies, like all things that grow and mature, we look for ways to improve the gamer’s experience.

2011 Slam at the Ram Pictures…
This year’s winner is a Press Ganger from our southside Game Preserve at Greenwood store. Jake Leeman’s been an enthusuiastic teacher of the game ever since the beginning. He’s one of those players not married to any particular faction, it’s all about the game itself for him. With Jake’s Blindwater Congregation list victory was hard fought but certainly well worth it.
